Most of our customers ask us similar questions. Here’s a list of those:

Q:  Will the engineer have all the parts in the van when he calls?

A:  We carry very comprehensive stocks  of the most common parts that wear out or are easily broken (e.g. Pumps, Brushes, Belts, Seals, Thermocouples, Door Handles, Interlocks, Hoses etc.). Parts not in stock are usually available from our suppliers on a ‘Next Day Delivery’ basis, and we will quickly return and complete the repairs.

Q:  Is your work guaranteed?

A:  Yes…All work done and parts fitted are guaranteed for 3 months. Please read our T&C for any exclusions.


Q:  Why won’t my domestic appliance do anything, there isn’t even a power light?

A: As strange as it may sound, sometimes you can find that a fuse has tripped at your main fuse board. It may even be that the fuse in the plug or extension lead has blown. Try these first before contacting us.

Q:  My tumble dryer seems to work, but it makes a new squeaking noise and sometimes gets a rubber smell, any ideas?

A: This could well be a fire risk as the belt or the shaft that drives the drum can get worn and may need replacing, to be safe.


Q:  Why won’t my washing machine empty?

A: Before you contact us, you may find there is a blockage or kink in the hose leading out your mashing machine. It could be that your machine has a small fluff collector (check your instruction manual) . If this gets clogged it can prevent emptying of the machine (remember to place a suitable tray to collect water underneath).

Q:   Why my dryer does not heat?

A:   There might be a problem with the heating element or a thermostat. Both are replaceable.

Q:  Why my washing machine does not spin?

A:   The appliance has to be checked by engineer just because there are various reasons – motor, brushes, PCB or may be a draining problem in the drain line. All of those could cause your problem…

Q:  My built-in oven doesn`t heat up.Why?

A:   The most common problems are heating element or thermostat but it could be something else of course

Q:  My electric hobs and the oven work but the grill does not. Any ideas?

A:   We probably will have to change your grill element.

Q:  My integrated dishwasher is full with water and stopped working. What shall I do?

A:   Try with resetting the appliance. If it doesn`t help give us a ring or book an engineer online

Q:  I have a combi boiler which still works but only on heating, no hot water. What shall I do?

A: Check the system  pressure first. Check for any error massages(on the display or flashing lights).

Check with the Manufacturers Instructions. If it does not help call us.

Q: My gas fire doesn’t light up. Why?

A:  Probably the pilot is blocked. It may need servicing.

Q:  I would like to replace my boiler with a new one. Would you charge me for a quotation?

A:  All our quotations for gas installations are free of charge with no obligation at all.

Q: On a completion of the boiler installation will I get a Certificate from Gas Safe?

A: Yes. We will register your new appliance with Gas Safe and they will send you a Certificate.

Q: Do you flash the system before you install a new boiler?

A: Yes we do. Prior to any new boiler installation we will do a Power Flush.

If you don’t change a boiler but your system needs cleaning we can do a Power Flush too.

Q:  I am a landlord who lives abroad. Can you organise the annual Gas Safety Inspection with my  Tenant and invoice me later?

A: Yes we can. After the completion of the job we will send you the invoice and you can pay by Bank transfer.
